This is the horrific amount of plastic pulled from the stomach of juvenile turtle (accidentally caught, though thats another story).
Lets hope that we can find a way to reduce plastic waste!http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2011/03/sea-turtle-plastic/ Thanks Marissa for sharing!Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Sad truths - a lot of people don't really understand the world
In the US around 40% of people don't believe in evolution. This surprises me as, like the sun rising in the east and setting in the west, it seems too obvious to "believe" in - it simply IS. Well, it turns out the Americans aren't alone in their delusions - apparently in the UK 20% of people believe in Lightsabers! As cool as this is, it represents a worrisome view of the world. Then again, ignorance is apparently bliss.

On a Jazz tilt - Gerald Cleaver
You may have heard of Matthew Shipp before - he's a fairly well known free for/avant garde pianist, but here listen to the dischordinant parts flow together. It's all held in place by the stunning drumming of Gerald Cleaver. It's well worth checking out his myspace page, particularly if you have love for Sun Ra, Pharoah Sanders, or just cool sounding jazz. http://www.myspace.com/geraldcleavermusic

Love the movie Moon starring Sam Rockwell? Love Hip Hop?
Then there's a change you'll love this - my favourite track from an EP put together by Max Tannone (mastermind behind Jaydiohead and Mos Dub). Check out his site for other gems! http://www.maxtannone.com/
