Black Carbon (Soot) is melting glaciers. Evidence.
More real science for the doubters - this time from the Himalayas, where black soot from india can be directly linked to the melting glaciers.
Time we stopped arguing and pointing fingers and started to act methinks.

Every now and then you come across something really impressive. This is perspective for you!
Wow, really quite amazing - starting with the moon, this animation shows a size comparison of many heavenly bodies, and it doesn't even get started on the mind boggling space inbetween them!

In "anticipation" of the Pope's visit to London this weekend

Pope Benedicte XVI is visiting London this weekend.
To... er... commemorate his visit heres a great wee link from the ever humorous The Onion.

Is Baroness the best band alive today? Maybe. Just maybe.
Late last year I was lucky enough to catch Baroness, a freakin excellent metal band from Georgia in the US, live at underworld. I was reminiscing about their set and tracked this down. Enjoy.
Hope they head back here soon.
